I'm not replying in the thread because this a personal philosophy rather than a statement concerning sex offenders. Everyone dies eventually; so, in effect no one can be saved. In any case, no one can be saved from themself. If a person chooses a path, you must either support it or block it as you see fit. I wish to block this path by eliminating those on it in one way or another. You wish to block it by studying it. Whether your thoughts or mine are correct, you must consider that not everyone cannot be saved because not everyone wants to be saved. What will you do with the recalcitrant? How will you pay for your mistakes? If I make a choice and someone who could be saved goes to the excutioner it is their blood on my hands. However, I can accept that because death is not the worst thing that can happen to you. Life is the worse thing that can happen to you. For confirmation, you need merely look in the crazed eyes of some of these children. If you make a mistake, then you can look into the mirror and see your own haunted eyes. I live in the real world. I live with my guilt, but it is less than those who cannot see the truth without despair.

I don't believe death is worse than life. I think it is crueler to cage a criminal than it is to kill them. There are many crimes which can be prevented by paying attention to the people in your community and there a many criminals that can be reformed merely by punishing them a bit and providing them with another satisfying path. However, I believe that it better to execute those that cannot be saved. What life is it to sit in a cage and stare at walls with your own mental illness raising a misery in your mind?
